The Jowett spline is 3/4" Dia x 48 straight splines. Only a month ago I cut one for a Jupiter Steering Column I am manufacturing from scratch, so know the figures.

Hi Tony, There is a slip ring approx 14 inches down the column from the Steering Wheel. There should be a spring clip around the column with a bakelite item on top which the wire should be connected too. They tend to give issues as to shorting out when the wheel is turned hard which sounds the horn ...

Oil Pump Mesh
I replace all pumps with a new mesh to the fine Jowett Spec, but with one in Stainless Steel. Have the mesh in stock here. Very easy to fit.

It is situated on the shore of the River Forth and just west of the new Queensferry Crossing....

Hey - You failed to report that the Engine got at least 3 tins of STP poured into the oil every morning !!!!!!!
That's what kept us going ....... That's maybe what the Italians were smelling ?????

A correction is required to the suggested route :-
Third sentence should read Turn LEFT 1/2 mile north of Longtown onto A6071 ...................... That sorts the route out !!!!

Tony, Ye'll tack the high road !!! Good planning. Once you leave Carlisle you are probably going to take the A7 North.. To Selkirk / Gala and then A72 to Peebles. May I suggest an alternative which is slightly challenging ( for a bit ) but definitely more scenic. Take the A7 from M6 Junction 44 to L...

Are the Gear Change rods ( the ones from the bottom the column to the Gearbox ) of the fully adjustable type. Earlier cars required you to take off one end and rotate one thread. The later rods allow very fine adjustment as they have a long central nut with one end tapped RH thread and the other end...
