Re: Jowett Photos Pre War

Very nice, but do they have ruin them with the "(C) Stilltime.net"?

Surly: for something that is really only of interest to the JCC and it's membership. Is it really necessary?

Happy New Year from a lively CKW 141 (Jemima)

Hi Guy's, Under leaden skies here in East Cheshire, something is stirring from her winter slumber. I fired up my 8HP "Jemima" this morning. I did this last month, and decided today, because the temperature was a balmy 4°C I would turn the engine over and give, not only the battery a boost,...

Jemima my1938 8hp flat twin

Some of you who were at the rally in May, will remember this car, and if you do. You will also remember the problems that I had, before and during my drive to Canon Hall. The breaks were apparently locking on, or rather one of them was, and thanks to the efforts of Tim Brown, he was able to get me h...

Do you know whether JCS have re-lined shoes or new one's? And more importantly. Do you have an idea of price?

My 8HP and the Jowett Centenary

Just wanted to offer UP a huge thank you, to everybody who, in some form or other helped me to get my 1938 8HP road worthy for today's journey home to Macclesfield. Some of you, will probably know, but other's may not. I've had brake problems since arriving last Friday, this culminated in a rather d...

My word, It's not long now is it to this years JNR. My Eight and Javelin are all ship shape, and gleaming, after there subsequent lashings of polish. It was hard work on Sunday polishing in that heat! I'm now counting down the hours, till departure time. 10:30hrs BST on Friday when I hope to set off...

Your right there is a Jowett Javelin in there and I think a Jup?

It's an interesting peace of video footage. But I'm not to keen on that cheesy background music.

Well we have have started something, haven't we :D I bought a new battery from Halfords this morning and fitted it into her. I am happy to say, that Jemmima is now tickety boo again :D I've been out on the open road, and taken her for a 10 mile drive. Everything is OK and I'm looking forward to yet ...

Thanks Leo, But I'm going with Tony's idea, buy it from Halfords. I'd like one that is more in-tune with our cars, but they are considerably expensive then a maintenance free battery. I would also have pay postage as I would only be able to source one of those traditional batteries from the internet...
