According to the parts book, Girling front brake expanders are handed. Delving a little deeper, the difference is in the draw link - part nos. 6645/24 and 6645/25.
My problem is, in overhauling an axle set, there appears to be no difference between the sides. In fact, I've looked at 6 front expander units which I have, and they're all the same! So a number of questions: Are they really the same? If they're not the same what's the difference? And which side do I have?
Someone out there must have come across this one before,
Hope you can help,
Andrew G.

Re: Front Brake Expanders
Have now dismantled and cleaned everything, and I think I've answered my own question. Correctly assembled and installed, the draw links from the front expanders should point downwards approx 25 degrees. But viewed from above, the draw link should point towards the REAR by about 10 degrees.
