Check out H&H auction online.
Two Jav’s
One with a great number and another a very early 1949 standard.
Both well gone, but at £55 &£110 respectably they are currently very cheap.
Surely they can be saved?

Personally, I would suggest that in both cases that they are unviable cases for restoration but should be considered as a source of spares

SFC 8 sold for £2000 back in 2012 and was in a restorable condition, however the new owner appears to have subsequently left it outside for 10 years and it has deteriorated considerably. The current bid is probably realistic given its condition. The registration number will be attractive to some people, so watch out for it turning up on something else!

SFC 8 Has been sold for £4,400 - Now before anyone gets idea's that's what a Javelin project of this degree is worth I can firmly advise this is categorially not the case - the only reason that this car has reached its sold price is because its been purchased for its 4 digit registration index only of which it will be sadly stripped of shortly (Has Andy states above)
GAK 140 Sold for £240 Exactly what its worth and not a penny more

Could be a challenge getting an MOT.
Moving under its own power might be acheived by getting the starter motor to drive it!
Eligibility
The vehicle must:
be registered with DVLA in the UK
be able to move under its own power
be of a type that needs an MOT or heavy goods vehicle (HGV) test certificate
be available for inspection - DVLA will contact you if they need to inspect your vehicle
have been taxed or had a SORN in place continuously for the past 5 years
be taxed currently or have a SORN in place - if it’s had a SORN in place for more than 5 years, it must be taxed and have an MOT certificate
If you have a historic (classic) vehicle you’ll also need a current MOT certificate, even if your vehicle is usually exempt from MOTs.
Your V778 retention document proves that you still have the right to assign the private number for the next 10 years.
You must renew your right to use a private number before the V778 expires.
