Hello Tiffy

Back there somewhere you asked where the filter bowl is fitted, and I guess you have worked it out already. My car is an SC so this might change for early cars, but the filter bowl is fitted just after the pump, before the petrol line divides. It hangs just the other side of the main chassis member.

The origonal bowl is very shallow. I have found in my junk the identical housing with a deeper bowl, and a paper cartridge in the middle, and fitted this. But I dont know what this came off origionaly.

Can I ask those of you who talk of fitting pressure regulators whether you have found this necessary with standard carbs, or with replacements? To be precise, I have fitted a neg earth MGB type pump, and will be using Webbers. So do I need a pressure regulator with Webbers?

Regards Vic

Petrol pump pressure needs to be tested as the Jup pump is quite unusual. Articles are in the JowettGallery. Search for petrol.
