First of all - welcome to the website (at last!). I am member in the Southern Section, living in Eastbourne, and we need more members who are active on both the website (like me) and at meetings (unlike me!).
What is your interest in Jowetts? I assume it may be Pre-War or vintage and I have the remains of a 1930 Long Four which I am 'repairing' (See previous posts!).
Please persist in sorting out your access problems. You seem to have overcome them anyway as you have got a 'post' through!
I hope these early problems will not put you off taking an active part in the forum and club.

Off and on I have continuos problems pages hang, time out, problems calling from the data base, keeps logging me out, and days like this works fine...
The gallery I find has the same except a little more...to the extent that I rarely have the time to go there
Tracerts etc are ok
Its the server over loaded or something hangs it.
Frustatrating but the information and community hereis worth it

Hello David.
Welcome to the Jowett car Club and this website.
As Ian and Keith have said, it's well worthwhile persevering, as when you actually do enter it, there's a lot of good information, and the camaraderie talked about in the early pre-war instruction books is self-evident.
Are you going up to Crieff for the National Rally at the end of May?
Best wishes,
Tony.

Like Jowetts, the Jowett website has its idiosyncrasies. Firstly realise that it is not a professional website and nobody pays me to run it.
Secondly the club is not charged much for hosting the service and so may be subject to loading on the servers that also run other websites. Indeed there may be so many people on the Jowett website that it gets overloaded.
It might be possible to alter the timeouts on some queries to the database such that you do not get the error messages. If it happens to you try using the browser back arrow and resending (refreshing) your previous request.
Anyway I hope the problems do not detract too much from your enjoyment of the sites. Finally if anyone has any suggestions for improvement then please let me know.
