Passengers side door lock on 8hp

Post by The Bradford man »

The passengers side door lock on my 8hp, doesn't lock when you flip the inside door handle to locking position.
Any one have pictures of what the inside of a complete working one should look like?
Have a idea what the issue could be?
I have yet to pull it out to look at it.

Thanks
James~

Hello James.
I only have photos of the early 30s 7hp Long saloon door mechanisms, and I don't know if they are of any use, but here they are.

This is a rear door mechanism, which I think allows locking by use of the interior lever.

Bottom right is a near-side front door mechanism which had the key to unlock it using the outside handle. You had to open the near-side door and lean across to unlock the off-side door with the interior handle. The other three are rear-door mechanisms.
