Diff pinion oil seal

The spring had come off the leather seal.

I took out the seal that had been leaking by welding a puller tube onto it.

The tube took out the outer plate using a two armed puller. The hoop took out the inner retainer using a couple of screwdrivers on the end of the shaft.
If I had realised I should have welded the outer plate to the inner retainer to take them both out at once. Perhaps a seal extractor is available that would avoid welding.
JAMES of Midnight Motors gave me a replacement leather seal. These are available from a SNG Barrett E type Jag 2ha-019 leather ones about £12, rubber ones for £5.
