I have tried to post replies using my registered name, but the message comes back with 'Sorry, this name is alteady teken' Of course it is, it's mine!

The only solution then seems to be to use 'Guest', which is a bit of a problem, but might explain why so many 'guests' appear in the listings.

Help please! What am I doing wrong?

David, I had exactly this problem. It's our fault! (or at least it was my fault).

You have to LOG ON before typing in your message. Otherwise when the system tries to log you on as a new member, you are already there! (of course you are).

Hope this helps.

Keith: -

Not a problem or a complaint, just a comment: -

I notice that when I visit a posting the little bell?! changes to white - usually. I know the reasons for this, BUT . .

Today the one against Javelin did not change even after 3 or more visits.

Just passing through.

Well done Ian! You may be inline for promotion as a moderator.

First 'Log In' to JowettTalk by clicking on the icon near the top right of the screen.

It should have your name there, once you have logged in.

I guess this is a subject for the Jowett.org Owners Manual.

Hi there,

I believe I've got the hang of it now!

Although I seem to need to actually log on at least twice, before the 'Log out [David Morris]?' message comes up. Am I still doing something wrong?

All the best,

David Morris

The picture HAS TO BE addressable from the web. You need to know its URL. Upload of pictures is not yet possible! You need to email them to me and put a placeholder in your post. See posts elsewhwre on JowettTalk.
