Does anyone know of a source of the square rubber surrounds for the bumper dumb irons on the Javelin? I've left a message with the Spares answerphone but perhaps one of you guys might know.
Inspired by Tony's Fox I made a start on stitching the Jav together this week and noticed one of the rubbers had split
Regards to all

Hi Ted.

Good to see the sap is rising again.

Let's hope others will follow suit.

Regards,

Tony.

Hi Ted.

It's almost certain the JCC of NZ Spares folk will have the Dumb Iron grommets you desire. I made a mold for them some years ago and some were made from this mold relatively recently. Your (JCC of UK) spares people should have some of that batch . . unless sold out of course. You'll find out in due course.

Let me know via this forum if you don't succeed in finding any in UK and I'll phone the spares people here in NZ and post the availability and cost here for you. With a bit of luck and a tail wind we could be able to get them to you in a few days if you order!

The spares folk here offer a really good service . . . world class in fact! :D

I'll be watching for your reply . . .

Cheers mate, Leo

As I recall it, I bought two from Bill Lock 3 1/2 years ago. I never used them and sent them to the purchaser of my car along with all the other spares.
