Just saying hello

Post by lindenengineering »

Hello
I am new to the group and this forum. I just thought I would say hello from Golden, Colorado and my auto business, www.lindenengineering.com.

I stumbled upon the Jowett web site following an on line discussion about rebuilding Lodge spark plugs as an eight year old kid growing up in my native Gloucestershire during the mid 1950's. As an apprentice I scrounged a non running Bradford van from a farmer in West Gloucestershire. It was my reliable winter college transport for two years before I sold it to the master mechanic I worked under in the sixties. The memory prompted me to go on line and I discovered this web site. Glad I did!

This might spur me on to find a barn relic somewhere where Jowetts got exported to the Americas. Any ideas. I worked in Uraguay for a while and came across alot of old running iron, But no Jowetts unfortunately!
Well thanks for reading my post and I look forward to seeing some interesting posts on the site and trips down memory lane.
Very best regards
Dennis

Hello Dennis

Welcome aboard as they say. I checked out your site last night, you seem to have some heavy metal under maintainenance/repair. There are some Jowetts in the States, you might want to e-mail or contact

This is the North American Jowett Register, I suspect it is heavily weighted towards the Jupiter but who knows, they may be able to help you.
Compliments of the Season,

Dennis, I missed your post when you initially filed it, so welcome from me too. I have passed thru Golden at least once on business somewhere near Denver. A few years ago I collected the remains of a derelect Bradford from a farm yard in west Gloucestershire, wonder if it was yours???
