Now then, here we go now that 'Burn's' night has passed - no 'tattie bogles', just haggis, neaps, tatties and plenty of the uisge beatha.
Just thought I'd start a thread on JowettTalk to see how many of us that use this site have actually booked for the 2008 Rally in Crieff (Scotland).
There's been a very comprehensive month by month account of the Event in recent Jowetteers, which I know you will all have read.
It won't take a minute to add your bit to this topic, and I suspect it will be of great interest to see whether your Jowett friends, wherever they are in the U.K. are also coming up there to meet you again.
If those of us that have already booked will add to this thread, then perhaps others who are "dithering" and have friends they'd like to see again will 'bite the bullet' and do the right thing.
From what it says in the last (January) Jowetteer, rooms are being snapped up at a pace at the Hydro, so have a good think about it.
Most of us are getting (or are) older, and with regard to the old adage - you can't take it with you!!, why not blow some of your kid's inheritance to have a good time.
Even if you have to make it in two or three days there and the same time back it's worth thinking about.
So:-
All it needs is a line saying - " xxx (+ or -) yyy will see you up there.
You don't have to wax lyrical.
Best wishes, and see you in Scotland in May,
Tony.
I know for a fact that at least 15 of the Lancs/Yorks members have already booked the staging posts to go up and down the country, and from what K.R. from Cornwall has already said, we'll expect him up there as well with several of his neighbours. If he can do it, then most of the rest of us can.

You're quite right Tony, in fact the whole Rogers clan will be in attendance this year - we've booked one of the Hotel's chalets for a week to make a holiday of it! Dare I say it, though, I will be trailering the Weasel up the 650 odd miles because of the time implications and the fact the family will be with me (though I expect Peter Holden will be trying to pursuade me to do otherwise, bless him!).

The "seven" and family will be present at Scotland, along with hopefully the engine demo, so if your looking for the ultimate reason to come along, what more could you want, jowetts, engines, and chit chat its going to be a great weekend.
