Exactly 100 years to the very day the club was formed - This Saturday 26th August 2023 the club will re-enact the original meeting - It also happens to be in exactly the same location that the inaugural meeting took place - So if you would like to come along to this unique and once in a life time event then there's some details below:

Titsey Place, Water Lane, Titsey, Surrey RH8 0SA - 11:00 - 16:00 hours - Ideally if you are a member or are planning on bringing a Jowett then please book in with the Southern Section Sectary: Bruce Girvan (details on page 3 of the Jowetteer)

The Jowett Shop will be attendance, we have a quiz with prizes, several members are visiting from overseas too, onsite refreshment's /cafe

General public are very welcome too with the House & Gardens open

A drive that should have taken an hour took 3 to get to Titsey around the M25. Traffic was heavy and slow all the way around and I saw winscreen wipers working on cars coming the other way so stopped and put the hood up. Glad I did because then came the second worst downpour I have experienced in this country. The motorway was a river and the outside lanes crawled to a stop but I managed to keep going in the slow lane, hardly being able to see the road. That was only 10 miles from Titsey which was reasonably dry when I arrived.

But a great display of Jowetts awaited my late arrival.

One of the dinner pictures went red as the infra red heaters went on in the room when Bruce was thanking us for attending. Great meal and local beer by the way.

Well we were glad you canoed your way round, Keith. Not a bad line up of Jups (Wright, Chaplin, Morton, Holroyd, Sands, Clements) and thanks for leading out the line. No doubt plenty more of the photos will circulate soon.
