Would converting a Bradford distributor to. Javelin one,
With vacumn advance be of any benefit? I am thinking of fuel economy, & slow speed running.
As they are similar i feel it would be a fairly simple process of changing the points cam & weights.

Re: Vacuum advance
The quick answer is yes, but a full analysis of combustion efficiency over the rev and load range would need some work on the dyno. as well as some theoretical guesses.
More benefit would be gained from sorting the carburation as well.
I did some work on my Jup using a programmable distributor so it was quick and easy to change the ignition curve.
