My daughters car was running hot at idle & a bit rough.
A bit of testing showed the advance was coming on to early.
The culprit was worn springs, the remedy was finding the least worn ones. Car now starts and idles perfect.
Does anyone know the correct springs for our cars?
And a source?

Re: Distributor springs
There is a lot of discussion on JT about this. It is probably not the springs but wear everywhere. If you do contact Distributor Doctor in the UK I would suggest getting the unit totally rebuilt by him to the Clements advance curve.
Email him and see if he can send to you.
