Re: 1925 short 2 auction
Way under estimate - I was personally asked to value it at the show for a potential bidder - Stunning condition - previously restored but with very light use - I guided at £14k - hammer came down at £12,200 + premium = £14,062 - worth every penny of it in my book - you couldn't restore one to this standard for anything like that type of money

Re: 1925 short 2 auction
The estimate was low. Other cars in the sale didn't do so well. I used to own the Morris Minor ohc saloon (DF9053) - I don't think that made £6k against a much higher estimate.

Re: 1925 short 2 auction
The estimate was low Which definitely got interest. I spoke to the concierge about the chassis number issues but he didn’t seem bothered and said we only sell them. On close inspection of dashboard the chassis plate number 627233 is different to the 1925 chassis number on the V5. Iknow they put S instead of 5 on the auction site but why would John Denton a motor dealer and restorer of the car put the plate on dash when it doesn’t match the V5? I think the engine is 1929 which is not an issue. Anyway new owner will have a clear title and an excellent car for the money ps jowett spares have blank plates in stock usually
