Pre-war bits.

Post by Tony Fearn »

It seems there are occasions when Jowett Car Spares Ltd. do not have in stock the item required for a bit for their pre-war Jowett. Recently I have been able to supply and post-off some of these requirements, which mostly are second-hand as you may expect. I would expect you to enquire of JCS Ltd in the first instance as Chris always says.

Such items that I have been able to supply include a bronze carburettor, a pair of re-conditioned Kestrel side-light rims, a VEFH carb, an aluminium differential casing, a new old stock crown wheel and pinion with rivets, a petrol tank, and the latest item, a switch panel for a vintage rebuild, although that was the last vintage part I had, I think.

I have given some engine cases and other parts to JCS Ltd. so at least these should be in their long-term stock.
In the past I have helped a few pre-war chaps including our President and our one-time Technical Officer, and quite a few others, so if you are needing a pre-war item, and you can't find it at JCS Ltd., or anywhere else, send me an email, I'm in the membership list.
I can't promise that I will have the required part, but nevertheless, it will only take an email to enquire.
