Hello,
Hope you are all good, i have recently picked up a 1952 Jowett Javelin, ECF 340 and i was wondering if anyone had any info about the previous owner?
I have various receipts with the name Ray Hardy on them from Norwich. Did anyone know of him?
They owned it since 1966 and it would be interesting to hear more about it.
Many thanks for your help,
Marcus

Re: Info on Prev Owner - Javelin ECF 340
Hello Marcus,
Welcome to Javelin ownership! Ray is still around but his health is not at all good so I'm afraid that he might not be available to answer your questions. As you say, he owned the car from 1966 and it was restored from a very poor condition. He had some very useful help during the latter stages of work and it might be possible to put you in touch with them. However, I am afraid that information can only be released to members of the Jowett Car Club. I am sure you will understand this. Membership of the club is almost essential these days for keeping the cars on the road and among the many benefits are a very comprehensive spares service, a regular newsletter and access to other parts of this web site which includes technical information that is not available to the general public.
