Crank bearing fitting
I use Loctite 518 master gasket (spread thinly with finger) on gaskets etc in assembly.
When torquing up crankcase, do it in say 3 steps, 30lbs/ft , 50 and 70. The crank may not turn until you've got the crush of the bearings to conform to a round circle at 70 lbs/ ft. It's good exercise, just be patient.
If for some reason the crank won't turn, ease the bottom 3 bolts of the crank back and retorque up to say 40, then 50 then 60 or until you can turn the shaft, strip and inspect the shells for high spots.
Hope this is not too much info!? Neil
