Re: Regulator box on eBay
Hi,
It may well be suitable for a Bradford, but it's not suitable for a Javelin without some considerable rewiring.
All the best,
David

Re: Regulator box on eBay
Later Javelins ,mine's a 1953 did have the RB 106 fitted from new. Both my Javelin And TR3a use the RB106. I found it's safer to have an original one repaired rather than use a new one from an unknown supplier as the quality is questionable.

Re: Regulator box on eBay
Hi,
Interesting! My Javelin is a 1952 and uses a RF95 regulator. They are expensive to replace, compared to the regulator mentioned on eBay, and have nine terminals. You can get modern electronic replacements, which might be more reliable? In my experience, I have had more problems with the traditional regulators than any other electrical component. They are prone to giving problems, especially if used infrequently.
All the best,
David

Re: Regulator box on eBay
I had N RF 95 on. Lanchester that I bought and was shocked by the replacement cost compared with the RB 106.
I got the Lanchester when I really wanted a Javelin, on selling the Lanchester I did what I should have done to begin with and joined the club, met Chris at the NEC and he put me onto the car I have now.
