SU PUMP

Post by David Kemp »

I have bought multiple SU fuel pumps as my Jupiters original is beyond hope.
After cleaning the points , one of the pumps ticks away beautifully. However the others only work when the base has been removed from the solenoid. Once bolted together they refuse to budge.
Any one got any ideas on why?
Good memories of Bradfords.

may help
My guess is the solenoid is lacking in power, misaligned or the diaphragm is stiff.
