Although currently domiciled in Wales, I managed to get back to Eastbourne for this major local event and attended both days, taking part in the opening parades each day.
I briefly met John and Linda Champion on the Saturday, but mine was the only Jowett on both days.
I was also surprised to 'win' a 'Best Dressed'' award with my usual 'costume' (Thanks for the Idea Alan), even though I was not aware there was a competition!
There is quite a nice video of the 2019 event on You Tube by Nick Pettett. We appear about 2.10 minutes into the video, with about 20 seconds of coverage. More than most of the others!

Thanks Tony.
Sadly I will not be coming to Grantham but I will (am) thinking about you all and hoping for fair weather.
Safe journeys to all.
