Password Recovery and set up for Single Sign-on

On the JowettTalk forum index page the login link will show this screen. Your username is that which you registered on JowettTalk. If you have forgotten this then you should contact the webmaster via the contact page on jowett.net. He will need to know the email address you used to register which may not be that which you are sending the request. Some idea of possible usernames you might have used would also help. Note that the username (and password) is case sensitive and spaces are significant.

Password Recovery for JowettTalk
If you have forgotten your password and are certain of your username and email address with which you registered (or subsequently updated), then you can ask the system to send you a reactivation email to the currently registered email address.

Please follow the instructions on the email you receive, which should bring up the next screen. You may want to copy (CTRL+C) the password before clicking the link.

This screen pops up for a second.

You can then paste (CTRL+V) the password into the box after entering your username (case and spaces significant). You must then go to your User Control Panel.

Click on the \'Profile\' tab and the \'Edit Account Settings\' sub-menu. Then change your password to one you can remember that also meets the security strength criteria. You should also update your email address to match that in the club membership list. If you need to update the club membership list, then this can be done using Jowett Internet Services for JCC Ltd members.Note your current password may still be in your paste buffer so use CTRL+V if it is.

You might get these error messages if you do not get it all correct.

Jowett Gallery sign-on
Navigating to the Gallery from JowettTalk or the jowett.net home page and then clicking Login brings up this screen.If you have forgotten your username then contact the webmaster giving him as much information as you can about what it might be and the email address you registered under.If you have forgotten your password then click the \'recover password\' link. Note case and spaces are significant.

Read the instructions on the page. Note for security reasons the time delay on retries. If you difficulty with reading the disguised letters then you can bring up a new set by refreshing the screen.

This screen should be displayed after you hit \'recover\' but note that the \'success\' statement may not be true so as to not give any information to hackers. You should wait for the activation email.

If you do not get an email similar to this within a few hours, then please try the process again after checking your junk mail folders. Note the email was sent to the registered address which perhaps may not be the one you currently get your email on. Please contact the webmaster if you still do not get one giving as much info as you can.Follow the instructions which will take you to a screen to enter a new password.

You must now enter a new password (twice). This should be the same as that used for JowettTalk. Note it does not have to be at the moment but single sign-on will require it to be so.
