Another stupid question!
Anyone know of a source of parts for fuel pump and fuel filter (AC) as originally fitted to Javelin please? The gauzes and gaskets inc gasket between fuel pump (mechanical) and engine block. I have just used up my last spares in 'fettling' my pump and filter!
Would JCS have this in stock do you think?
Thanks
Paul

Re: Javelin fuel pump AND fuel filter parts
Hi Paul,
Have a look on eBay. I just have and eBay item number 222531668251 shows a guy selling lots of different kits, starting at £20 plus p+p. He gives a phone number for queries. The pump was used on lots of classics and the reconditioning kits are often on the auction site.
Better still, take the plunge and fit an electric pump. They are around £50 new, again on eBay, and will give you starting on the first push of the button, help with vapourisation and are just a lot more reliable.
As for originality, well Jupiter's had them fitted from new, so you could always claim yours crept into the build by a factory accident?
By the way, did you go to the Rally?
All the best,
David

Re: Javelin fuel pump AND fuel filter parts
Thanks (again!) David
I did go to the rally in Yellow Peril. It was brilliant! And the weather was brilliant too! Sorry you couldn't make it.
I'll think about the electric pump. To be fair starting has never been an issue with my javelin- as long as I remember to prime the pump when the engine is cold.
In the meantime anyone else have a source of parts please?
See you in Harrogate, David?
