Support for Javelins in West Yorkshire

Post by JulianDyer »

Hi all, I have recently joined the Jowett Car Club with a view to acquiring a Javelin as my first classic car in the near future. I would just like to know what sort of support is available from club members or contacts in the West Yorkshire area, whether it be an extra pair of hands or a garage to properly inspect/maintain the car.

I am currently studying on the car restoration course at Leeds City College, so I am gaining a basic understanding of the major components. I could probably manage the maintenance schedule in the workshop manual, but rebuilding of components may be a bit of a stretch.

Thanks in advance.

Julian - We should be able to rouse a response from Javelin owners within your area - posting on the forum of any issues you may have often gets the problem resolved - members within your area will have contacts of Jowett / Javelin friendly garages that can assist too - not all of the membership is on the forum though so if this post fails to rouse a response please repost and we will advise of local owners - Chris

Thanks Tony, I have seen that Javelin advertised too - it does look rather nice!

Glad to hear there are members and garages that would be able to support the running of a Javelin.
