Javelin Prototype Photograph

Post by Nick Webster »

There's an interesting photo for sale on Ebay at the moment (item 381842976001) though since it is via a dealer it is not cheap. It depicts the interior rear of one of the prototypes, viewed through an open rear door. One wonders if this was a running car or perhaps a mock up. It would be easier to say what is the same as production bodies - practically nothing - rather than list the differences. However, of particular interest is the fixing level of the exterior bright trim and the return edge and fasteners on the rear wing.

Hi Nick
never seen a rear wing with this type of leading edge fixing. We have a very early rear wing with no rear light
feature, the early cars had only one rear light in the boot centre. Our example has the standard fixings.
It may well be a prototype in the photo, strange the description of the photo said it was in poor condition, didn't match
the one shown on eBay
