1924 Short 2 for sale

Post by James Baxter »

Nearing the end of an extensive restoration, I am selling my very original and complete Jowett. It is one of the earliest of the early cars. Mechanically fully restored. The body and wings and now painted. Some basic assembly work remains along with upholstery, although I have all the original leatherwork to copy. The hood and side screens are also there ready to copy. The radiator is rebuilt and absolutely beautiful, by Tony Wilder and the car carries its original Bradford registration number.
I can finish the car for anyone to their upholstery choice, or for sale as is.
For details, please call 07799 038731 or e mail james@TipTopEngineering.co.uk

Shame on them (The museum that is!): -!

It would be nice to think that custodians of our heritage might take better care, but I recall problems with the Knight car - possibly the first car built in Britain, that lived (lives?,) in the Walthamstow museum.

It was 'got at' with good intentions but lost a lot of its originality in the process.
