I have a feeling that this might be the ex-Shuttleworth collection car?

No, this is a car that has done the rounds a bit lately, but did belong to Dr Dyke in Cornwall for about 50 years until a couple of years ago. It did carry the reg no MR9---(?) but has since lost its original number.

Surprisingly enough, the car lost its original registration number while still owned by Bob Dyke.
The Shuttleowrth car is a Short 4. It has lost its original registration too, as far as I can tell while in custodianship of the collection.

It's such a shame - if I had my way I would make it illegal to transfer numbers on historic cars! After all, it is part of the car's identity.
