Our Section AGM was held on 29th October and all existing officers kindly offered to stand for re-election, which was approved. Probably in common with our fellow sections, there is not a lot happening outside our garages? But inside, spanners are moving and work in preparation for next season is in full swing! Nigel Woodford and Vic Francis have stripped the engine from Nigel’s black Javelin, as it was burning too much oil! Having sourced a new set of rings locally, ( JCS please note, you really need to consider stocking these!), work is in progress to rebuild the engine. John Airey has very kindly completed the rebuild on my ‘B’ engine, which is destined for my green Javelin, that hasn’t turned a wheel in forty years! Linda and Nigel have done a sterling job and have organised our Winter Section meal for 24th January at the The Gables Hotel, Falfield, GL12 8DL, at 12 noon for a 12:30pm start. It’s just moments from Junction 14 on the M5; Linda reported that sixteen people had put their names down (and paid up!). We would love to welcome all members and we hope to see you there. Could you contact either Nigel or Linda if you are coming, so they can organise numbers? From past experience, the carvery is excellent!

We will not hold our third Thursday of the month meetings in January, so the next Section meeting will be on 18th February 2016. On behalf of us all in glorious sunny Severnside, I would like to wish all our members a Very Happy New Year.
