Does any one know the weight of a Javelin and how it compares with a Jupiter?
I weighed my Jupiter on my single axle trailer and both together was 1240 kg.
Cheers.

Re: Weight of a Javelin
According to the Jupiter Instruction Book, the Dry weight of a Mk1 Jupiter is 812 kg, which seems very light.
The Autocar in March 1950 reported the "weight" of a Jupiter to be 1510 lb approx (685 kg)! This was based on JCS publicity material. Then in December 1950 the Autocar Road Test reported the Jupiter had a weight of 2107 lb (956 kg).
The 1951 Javelin had a Dry weight of 2168 lb (983 kg), and a Kerb weight (unladen) of 2258 lb (1024 kg)
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Weight of a Javelin
When racing in the 90s I did check the corner weights of my Jup, but cannot find the notes.
I will ask Richard if he knows what he has got his Jup's weight down to.
We now have a Javelin shell approaching completion with the lead replaced and a shell with all the lead stripped out of it. Also a Jup bare chassis. All I need is as big enough set of scales.
All the mechanical sub assemblies of the Jav are waiting to go in, so they could also be weighed.
