How many balloons?

Why not tell us about your car (start with a picture) and say what you have done with it; either restoring or using it over the years. Restoration of particular parts is of special interest. Club members can have their space on in their Personal Album to do this.

How many balloons?

Post by James Baxter »

Image

I took the Short 4 chummy to the school Fair hood and sidescreens up and filled it with balloons.
Children had to answer some easy questions, then guess how many balloons inside.
The winner won a trip to school in the Jowett with his friends.
Lucky winner was made up, pictured here with his girlfriend, looking like he owns the car!

Question is, how many balloons did it take?

Think big.

Four hundred and ninety three if they were small ones, two hundred and sixty nine if they were large.

My guess is 47. Unless those children are dramatically bigger than kids used to be when I was a lad etc etc...

The balloons were about medium, about one big puff. (!) You cant overfill them when you are on a mission to fill the car, tying knots as fast as you can!
The nearest guess was 330, when in fact there were 328!!

So I wasn't too far out if you average large (269) and small ( 493) to give medium (380)!
