As it was nice and sunny I was able to take my 1930 Long Four (still without a waterproof fabric 'skin') to this show on sunday. The rebuilt gearbox seems to work OK and the speed shown on the speedo now bears some resemblance to the real world.

Fantastic turnout but no other Jowetts (at least not on Sunday).

We were parked up next to a fantastic VERY 'oily rag' 1930 Morris Isis, and a HUGE (about 1912?) La France. These were commonly used as fire engines and associated vehicles in the USA, but a lot are now being converted to 'ordinary' veteran cars.

Together, we still got a lot more interest than the rows of shiny classics, but there were also some BEE-UTIFUL big americans of the 1050s and '60s.
The devil is in the detail!
