I have been offered space for 4 cars and would love to have an all Jupiter display. My brother and I are taking our Jupiters, is anyone else interested? Cars have to arrive for setting up in the indoor arena on the Friday. Show starts Saturday 21st September ending on the Sunday at 4.00pm. Excellent security. Campervans and caravan space available . Let me know if you are interested asap by email aj4cks@aol.com. Promises to be a superb show.

Due to lack of interest and despite the late support last year I will not be organising a stand this year for this expanding show. Instead I will enter my car on its own unless someone else wants to pick up the reins or work with me

Hi Tony,
I am happy to help as last year with display materials. At the restoration show we will have some new material to support the existing A1 sheets you have seen previously, and if there are other displays we can fit in the boot of my car you are welcome to them (there is discussion at the moment about getting the club's cutaway Bradford engine sorted)
This is the kind of event which is really important for the club - demonstrating itself to be a welcoming, modern and friendly club accessible to all, as well as being a focal point for members to meet up and catch up.
Sadly I can't commit to bringing a car to the show, we have Goodwood the weekend before and I can't commit to that distance in one of our cars on a Friday evening. Surely there are members from the NW and Northern Sections that would love to display their cars at an event like this? One thing I think (and seems to be the case when we have organised the Restoration Show in March) is that members tend to be reluctant to put themselves forward for one reason or another - often they are worried that because their car is either not a concours winner, completely original, or has perfect paintwork, that it would not be of interest or in some way let down the appearance of the stand. Of course we know they could not be more wrong, and often restoration projects, barn finds, and the generall imperfect are often of huge interest to the public and members, but that might be the reason for some reluctance. This is fixed by contacting people individually to ask them to display their car, so perhaps worth asking that way or asking the Section to volunteer members who might not be at meetings etc.
What I can do is commit to being there in person to man the stand with you guys, especially so (but absolutely not conditional) if you or one of the Manchester team have some time during the Restoration Show in March to do the same? If you were around on Sunday afternoon you could take the display materials from there.
Anyway, you have my e-mail address, so feel free to take that offline, but the appeal for cars remains - club members and Jowett owners are reading this, will you join Tony and others in being proactive in ensuring the long term health of our club, or perhaps speak to others who could?
Jack.

Re: Footman James Classic Manchester
Thanks Jack for your tremendous offer of support. I would be happy to man the stand at the resto show, will have to check dates.
Sadly, so far the response from the NW section has been zero and I may just exhibit as a single entry. Shame as these events bring in a new audience and members for The Jowett marque.
