Club stand at NEC Classic Car Show

Just arrived back from the NEC show and I would just like to say what a brilliant job the Midlands section did in the organisation and presentation of our club stand - I don't think I am biased in saying that the appearance of the stand and the hospitality towards the public surpassed all other club stands as I am sure all members who attended would also agree. In fact, we were only beaten to the Best Club Stand award by the Lancia Club because of the variety of cars they had on display, but the Jowett Car Club's stand got an excellent mention at the Awards Ceremony nevertheless. During my three days at the event, I did not once go past the stand and not see the committee members talking to the public usually with their heads under the bonnets, which is more than I can say for most of the other clubs who's members seemed to prefer to huddle in their own groups!!
Well done to all - the committee and exhibitors - for all your hard work. I was proud to tell people I belonged to such a fantastic club!
