Re: Optimistic?
for David Morris, do you think it is worth looking, it must be somewhere near you . The price is way out , a serviceable / restorable Javelin can still be bought for this money or near ? regards Bob

Re: Optimistic?
Definitely ambitious, but the price has been steadily dropping from approx £3K a few weeks ago, so perhaps not much longer before we see this selling for a more reasonable price.
I would say that the current market value for the parts in the condition shown is probably the same as the scrap value. There seems to be no shortage of similar parts being given away by people who would like to see cars kept on the road and restored, but I can't see anyone parting with £1,500 for a collection of parts when a running car with work required wouldn't sell for much more.
Jack.

Re: Optimistic?
There is two van loads of very rusty spares and very rusty rolling chassis - has Jack correctly states it is worth no more than the scrap value - they might very well be a few odd parts of value but they have all been stood for an extensive period rotting away - I see no more than £500 of value here - and unless someone wants to overvalue the said rusting parts above this figure - they are going to stop where there are - bear in mind the vendor has dragged this lot over from Scandinavia so with ferry costs fuel etc that's the £500 gone plus whatever what was paid for the car & parts in the first place.

Re: Optimistic?
Hi there,
I contacted the vendor when the original eBay sale was posted, who kindly sent me more photos of the various parts. I suggested that there might be interest in some of the parts, if he was prepared to sell them separately.
I have not had a reply, but am curious, as they must be fairly local to me?
All the best,
David
