The chap in the picture is Ron Buttfield who owned the car for around 25 years, until his death in 1974 and I'm fascinated to know what they are celebrating. He was very much a classic car fan (owning others including a 3 1/2 litre Bentley) and I wonder given the spanner strapped to the radiator, if it could be some sort of rally??
