Post by craig ainge »

Once again the Midland Section are preparing to organise the JOWETT CAR CLUB display at this prestigious flagship event - The NEC Classic Car Show from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th November 2012.

The theme for 2012 is 'The Full Story' and we are planning to display a range of five JOWETT vehicles from Vintage, Light Commercial, Pre-War and Post War.

We are in HALL 18 Stand No. C142.

2012 will be another exceptional year for JOWETTS. In additiona to the JCC display, experts from The Leeds City College will be working on the JOWETT JAVELIN in the Restoration Theatre and Alan Barrtlett's 1934 JOWETT Long Saloon has has now been shortlisted in the top 5, so his car will appear on the Bauer Media stand. Good luck to you Alan from all of us.

The JCC Display will provide an excellent meeting point for all Jowetteers attendiing the NEC, so come on over and see us and browse the JOWETT SHOP just in time for Christmas.

It was good to catch up with various members there. A good display too, showing the public what we do, and what Jowett marque is all about and the information behind them. I do hope this has attracted yet more interest in the marque. I was also surprised to hear from Danuta about the trouble of trying to get a younger member insured with the cars with FJ?

* Did anyone get the name of the guy with the kestral restoraton? He was talking to David Mason? was it? cap and red jumper? Showing him the Roadtests book by george. Didn't get a chance to have a chat.
