jowett publicity

Post by robert lintott »

Congrats to Noel Stokoe for his letter to the Automobile ( Sept. 2012) summarising the recent coverage of Jowetts in this respected journal, good further publicity for the Club and Jowett cars. He cleverly has them print a Jowett photograph next to an AA box in Yorkshire and lists the known surviving AA boxes. His list is of 19, but earlier sources say 21 still exist, including no doubt No 137 at the top of Porlock Hill, which is a listed building!. There must be another one to make up the 21 ? Bob

Hi Bob,

Many thanks for your kind posting regarding my letter to the Automobile about AA boxes and Jowetts etc.

I have been on holiday in France for 3 weeks, so am behind with my correspondence!

Peter Holden tells me that I had missed one out - Box 321 at Eardisland, Herefordshire. Next to the Cross Inn, and that it was restored by Roger Young!!!

i think that should make up the 21??

Noel
