The Day The King Died . . .

Post by Leo Bolter »

Hello all.

This image was "nicked" off the TV 3 news this evening. There were a couple of frames in a clip to go with the narration, which was describing the reaction of the people of London to that announcement 60 years ago.

What a pity there's a head in the way . . . with a bit of digital jiggery pokery we may have been able to make out the numberplate!

Do any of you remember driving in London on 6 February 1952, the day the film crew made this movie? ? ? :D :D :D

I'll put the full sized image on the Jowett Gallery.
