JUPITER STEERING BOX

Post by Drummond Black »

Following on with my proposed steering box rebuild which will start shortly, several comments regarding wear have come to light via Jowett Talk and private e-mail. This got me thinking and I started to look at the lubrication requirements for the steering system.

First stop was the lubrication charts and then the maintainence manual. Reference to greasing is well documented however no mention is made to oil within the box. WHY have a FILLER plug and a DRAIN plug and made no mention of oil type and change/check intervals.

What do other Jupiter Owners do in this area of maintaince. ??
