August Bank Holiday - Pershore Plum Festival

Post by M S G Benning »

For several years, we have attended this lovely event. Open to all, if you fancy a weekend in the lovely Georgian town of Pershore, this is the weekend to do it. There will be hundreds of classic cars on the Monday, displaying in Abbey Park. If you can't make it in yours, feel free to join us. a park & run operates from the Horticultural College (S/E side) or Pershore High School (N/E side). Have a look at [http://www.pershoreplumfestival.org.uk]. I am holding a supply of application forms & will willing forward on to you, just send me an EM or ring no.in members register. :)

In line with our food theme for events, this sounds good. We have planned the 'Rhubarb and Custard run' in February, perhaps. This will be a laxative affair, sorry, 'lackadaisical affair'.

Could they perhaps be a little more accurate with the 'dates'. 29th July to 29th August is an awful long time to be eating plums.
When are Jowetts going to be there?

Bank Holiday MONDAY 29th. we usually arrive about 9.30,as queuing to get on site starts early! Forgot to mention that organisers like a donation of £3 towards upkeep of the Abbey. :)

Don't forget Bank Holiday Monday, Abbey Park Pershore. Be in place 9.30. Contact Brian Bremer 07809569101 & mention Jowetts if you want to come. Plenty of plums will be available, so you can bring ready made custard if you want!!! :)
