headlights

Post by MartinRaine »

Hi on my falcon nearside head light, is the solenoid mounted on the top half of the headlight or under, is it energised for dip and sprung back for full beam, or the other way round. sorry for all the questions, thanks Martin .

The solenoid should be on the top. When energised the lamp dips and when switched to full beam a spring pulls the headlamp back into the main beam. The spring is located to the reflector and runs under the frame with the soleniod. If it comes off it can be a sod to put back!!
