Oil pipe and battery and front window seal for a Falcon

Post by MartinRaine »

Hi i have more problems which hole in the bulkhead dose the oil pipe go through to get to the oil gauge. It has been 30 years since i striped the car down so i have lots of questions on putting it back together. I also need to know the dimensions of the battery and the positions of the +and - posts, and one final question i have a new front window rubber seal, i know you feed it in to the surround but which side do you have the joint. The car now has the body on, floors in and back wings on, but it is a slow job. Thanks and have a good Xmas and a Happy New Year to you all, Martin

Same hole as the leads to the starter and earth on the engine. If you look at the phots I sent you you can see the oil pipe. I use it to tie the wires from the back of the dash to the coil, horn and lights

Hello Martin,

On Page 3 of this pre-war section I posted a drawing of a cross-section of the 1934 saloon screen rubber - titled Windcreen Rubber.

Is this the type of rubber you mean?

Tony.
