water transfer seals.

Post by TedAllen »

I'll put this in ' parts ' as it might benefit Javelin and Jupiter owners.

Lidl, at present are selling a box of assorted fibre washers, 'O' rings, plastic and rubber washers and seals for £3.99
Having been and bought one today, I opened it up this evening to look what was in it. There's a lot !

What caught my eye was a flat circular seal, in rubber or neoprene. I dug out a spare water transfer pipe and it fits exactly.
It's 2.5 mm thick by 5.5 mm across in section.......and there were 15 of them !

I'm not keen on the round section 'O' rings as they tend to squeeze out when tightening the part. I'll try these next engine build.
The bonus, of course, is the couple of hundred other things in the box, some with a plumbing application.
