Javelin Wheel balancing
On the way to Wakefield I heard a bang and lost a wheel balancing weight. We went to a tyre depo who, free of charge, re-balanced the wheel. A few hundred yards form their place (down a one-way street) another weight fell off. Has anyone else had this type of problem? I looked at Javelin wheels on the Sunday dispaly and saw few wheels with balance weights.

Yes frequently.
You will note on all my wheels that I record the weight and position in Tippex of all the weights on both sides. Then if one falls off you do not need to rebalance, just replace.
For rallies and races, I always took the weights off and refitted with araldite. A flying weight can do a lot of damage.
