Legacy project goes global
I am excited to be able to say every Jowett Car Club world wide has given the Legacy Project their support.
Dansk Jowett Car club
JCC of Americas
JCC of Australia
JCC of New Zealand
Jupiter Owners Auto Club
Several of them still have to ratify this with executive committees but no problems are foreseen. As far as I know this is the first time we have all worked on a project. So we now have access to 1000 Plus members and their assistance!!!

Alastair - This is great news - although it still needs final approval of some of the committees I can not see anyone not supporting the project - to this end I think we ought to sharpen our pencils and draft a press release to the vintage / classic car press - what do you think ??

Letter to Classic Car Press
Chris, start us off with a document we will all pile in and then I shall ask the various publicity officers to get stuck in. Great idea, if we need to do a consultation document then we can go back to acrobat, but it was hard work. Maybe better to throw something up on the Legacy section of this forum, this will mean only members could see it until it is ready for release.

Dear Alastair,
I have just read your article in the June Jowetteer. I fully support the Legacy Project and wish you well with it. I can well understand your plea for help with interviews etc.
For what it is worth, I have put together a fairly comprehensive set, titled Technical Notes Series, that I have made available to numerous members. If you like, I can send you a disc with the MS Word 2003 documents on it.
Maybe it will help your cause, from the technical aspect.
I have also scanned and converted to Word, a number of articles from Autocar and The Motor magazines -- would they be of use?
In addition to that, I have done the same with respect to the Jowett 10 hp Four Owner's Manual and Spare parts Catalogue.
And, on top of all of that, I have combined all Javelin and Jupiter Spare Parts Catalogues into one Word 2003 document. Any use?
Kind regards,
Mike A.

Can a duck paddle?
Yes please a great deal of use. Keith either is or has made available your multi model part numbering system. I was going to approach you about your technical articles as you have kindly put them on the gallery, which will be the basis on which we start (I mean the gallery). However all the autocar motor and 10Hp et al articles/documents on a CD, would be a flying start to The Javelin Jupiter (and also for the 10HP) side of the Legacy project. Thank you also for your kind words about it. Now I just have to "encourage" it to happen

Dear Alastair,
In the post today is a CD-R with a host of MS Word 2003 documents for use in the Jowett Legacy Project. It was posted to your address as per the 2008 Members List.
Good luck with the Project. If I put together other Jowett information, I will pass it on to you.
Thank you for taking on this exciting project, I sincerely hope you get the support you will certainly need. Any questions on my input, do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Mike A.

Re: Legacy project goes global-Noel Stokoe
Dear Alastair,
Jane and I both enjoyed your Legacy Project presentation at the Centenary Rally in Wakefield, I am so pleased to see so many others are getting on board as well worldwide, as this will be a huge undertaking, so the more help you can get the better!
It is one of these things where you ask yourself why it has not been done sooner.....Keep up the good work.
Post lost in transfer!!!

Noel
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I do recall talking about all the Jowett Adverts you put together for one of your books, do you have scans of them if not can you scan them. I could of course pinch them from the book, but that doesn't feel right somehow.
