Many models of Jowetts exist. Here is one of the R1 Jupiter that ran at Le Mans in 1952.

The four cylinder one looks like a 10/4 pre-war engine, not a Javelin one, so why would Jowett be showing that in 1950? Should someone tell Bonhams?

Well I hope that the engines are in 'OUR' hands now.

As 'we' knew in June about the contents of this sale which was happening in July, and knowing how solid our finances are as a Club, surely someone on the Committee pulled it all together so that we could at least bid for them.

We can only 'Wait and See' what happened. Hopefully someone will have the answer.

There was a picture of our President & our Chairman pushing/pulling one of them across the car park at the Employees Reunion. I believe we purchased both.

We only purchased the Bradford one! It was at the Former employees reunion in August and I think it was scheduled to be at the NEC.
Someone somewhere is maybe trying to shoehorn the other one into a Javelin! could be comical as it was definitely a pre-war 4 cylinder engine!!
