A historic revival of the Kop Hill Climb near Princes Risborough, Bucks, is being planned for the weekend of 26th and 27th September 2009. This was one of the foremost hill climbse in the period between 1910 and 1925. The commemorative event should be of particular interest to your members owning cars of the type that could have made the run in the early days. Our aim is to attract as many veteran and vintage motorcars and motorcycles as possible, although the event will be open to a limited number of classic cars to 1973.
Attached is a short article about Kop Hill, which I hope you could publicise for us in your members magazine or newsletter and on your listing of 2009 events to bring it to the attention of your members. Our website is http://www.kophillclimb.org.uk , which was recently launched and gives full details of the event. We will shortly add a PO Box no for sending in entries. Do you have a branch of your car club in the Chilterns area? If so we would welcome contact details.
Please let me know if you are able to help us publicise the revival of the Kop Hill Climb and if you have any photos of the hill climb runs in the early days.
