To put all your minds at rest with reference to the recent fuel crisis that affected Scotland and possibly parts of the North of England, we can now assure you that there is no shortage of petrol in Scotland. So your trip to Crieff should not be affected.

Monday 12th May - I am just back from meetings in Crieff. Been there since 8.00am this morning.

HOTEL
All our arangements are now finalised with the hotel and they are looking forward to welcoming our Club. We have sole use of the LAGOON car part and this will be for Jowett vehicles ONLY. Non Jowetts attending should find parking in other car parks of the hotel. Overnight security has been arranged and it is easier and more effective if the Jowetts are all together. The Jowetts booked in will FILL the Lagoon car park. This car park will be signposted to assist you on entry into the hotel grounds.

We hope to have the route from the town centre signposted for your arrival.

Press releases have gone out. I visited the local paper this morning and they are giving us all the support they can. The layout for Market Park is nearly complete now that we know the numbers attending. Full details will be in your Rally pack.

Have a good journey to Crieff and ,if you get the opportunity, pass the above information on to fellow Jowetteers who do not view JowettTalk

The Kiwi is a flightless bird but we Kiwis are on our way 30 hours from New Zealand in the big silver bird. Only 12,000 miles to go.

Alan, The build up has begun. This time next week we will be in " FULL FLIGHT " . Have a good Trip and phone when you reach Edinburgh safely. We know that Bunty arrives next Thursday. I assume that Ken Brownlie is travelling in parallel with yourselves ?

Follow people and cars to Scotland 2008

Hanne and Niels Jonassen in my black Javelin O7897 owner of most of the Javelin that iare still back in Denmark

Me and a friend, Anders, in Jupiter B499

and Karen and Erling Haagenrup in Toyota Hiace ( owner of Javelin under restoration)and support / collector car

Niels/ Hanne will take ferry Tuesday and arrival Wednesday in Harwich and take it easy up to the hotel and be there on Friday

Me and Erling group will take ferry Thursday and arrival Friday and then drive the whole way to hotel, and if we are delayed on the way, depends of traffic , maybe we will find a place to sleep and then arrival the hotel Saturday-

Celebrating anniversaries at Creiff.

I will have owned my Jupiter SA for 40 years whilst at Creiff. It will also be 20 years since 8 JCC members struggled to get it together for the Pirelli Marathon in 1988. It will also be 10 years since Amy and I prepared for the 1998 Marathon to Marakesh.

There is obviously a 10 year cycle; so I will need to see what we did 30 yeras ago in the SA.

It is 30 years ago that I attended my first JAW also in Scotland, at Doune - the scenery and the weather were superb. Here's hoping for the same for Crieff!
