I put it down to excessive heat in the engine compartment either overheating the carbs or the fuel pump. We spent particularly long in slow moving traffic or stationary. I only had an issue once when I turned off the engine for 5 mins and then came back and it would not start. Left for an hour and it started immediately. My water temp never rose above 75c. Sunday was cooler.
